This is the second trip date that is actually a week before the original sign up because their were so many that signed up on the waitlist. Please do not attempt to switch dates to this other trip as this can cause extreme problems in scheduling.
Enjoy a day trip to Cypress Gardens in Moncks Corner, SC. We will travel by motorcoach and experience the gardens, which were originally part of the Dean Hall rice plantation. The area, that is now swamp, was dug out and fitted with water gates to become a freshwater reservoir.
WHILE AT CYPRESS GARDENS YOU WILL:
• Take a narrated swamp boat tour of the blackwater swamp.
• Visit the Butterfly House indoor exhibit housing butterflies, birds, koi, goldfish and turtles.
• See the Aviary housing African grey parrots and a sulfur-crested cockatoo.
• Enjoy the Swamparium with native and exotic fish, reptile and amphibian species from swamp habitats, including common venomous snakes and large aquatic salamanders called sirens.
• Tour the Heritage Museum.
We will meet at the church at 8:00 AM and return by 5:00 PM on Sept. 17. We will eat lunch at The Barony House in Moncks Corner and lunch will be on your own.
